MESSAGE FROM THE LIBRARY

We are currently providing curbside services for book and movie check-out and returns, FAX, photocopy, and notary public services.

Library Curbside Hours:
Mon–Thurs: 9 AM-2 PM and 4 PM-6 PM
Fri: 9 AM-2 PM
Sat: 10 AM-2 PM

Book / Movie Check Out:
Although our library’s collection remains in storage during our renovation, we are able to borrow items from other libraries for you. You can browse our NEXT catalog (nextkansas.org), but for the present time holds must be placed by librarians.

Here’s how to request books and movies:

By phone – call 785-742-3831.
By e-mail – send requests to morrill@hiawathalibrary.org and include details about the book/movie you are requesting, your name, and library card number.
E-mail from NEXT Search Catalog – Send your book cart directly to morrill@hiawathalibrary.org. Include your name, e-mail, phone, and library card number. Click to watch our how-to video!

You may request up to two items per week.

When you are notified that your materials are ready to pick up, come to the library during the hours posted above. Phone 785-742-3831 when you are at the lower level alley entrance, and a staff member will bring your materials to you in a plastic bag.

Note: All materials received from other libraries are quarantined three days for your safety.

Book / Movie Return:
You may return your checked out books and movies during any of the posted hours. Phone 785-742-3831 when you are at the lower level alley entrance, and a librarian will come out to assist you.

All materials being returned to the library must be self-bagged. Ask the librarians for a bag if you need one.

FAX, Photocopy, and Notary Public Services:
Call 785-742-3831 during the posted hours to make an appointment.
